The days are flowing by and it’s almost the end of February.
There is a group on Ravelry called Crochet Clothing CAL and they are currently crocheting the Chevron Lace Cardigan by milobo. It’s fun when you can find a group that is or has been making a certain item. This is, imo, an easy project. I only had to frog once, and that’s because the first size I picked was too big. Of course, I had to be difficult and use a worsted weight yarn instead of the recommended dk weight, but I am trying to use what I have in my stash.
Sorry for the blurry picture, but I find it hard to take a picture of myself.
I used 3 skeins of Caron Simply Soft in the color Autumn Red and a size I hook. I had bought this yarn for a blanket and ended up not liking the blanket so now I have several skeins of this yarn. Oh well, three down and several more to go.
The only changes I made was 1) I used Chainless single crochet for the neckline 2) once I reached where I wanted to start the sleeve I crocheted 20 stitches (instead of 10) for the underarm (I personally need more room in that area). I crocheted right on the row I was working instead of doing this separately. I tried both ways and I didn’t see much of a difference. 3) I did a few rows of sc edging around the fronts and neck instead of sc and dc, this was also personal preference.
If you have a chance check out all of the beautiful cardi’s on Ravelry. I would like to make this again with the recommended yarn weight.
