Flowers and Scarves
May 13, 2009 by vickiknit
In the past two weeks we’ve had cloudy skies, more cloudy skies, and some rain thrown in. I’m not complaining about the rain because we really need it, I just like to see some sunshine, it lifts my spirits. We have beautiful sunshine today so I took some more flower pics to share.
Now to share some knitting that I have finally finished. I’ve been working hard this year to use up some stash yarn and to finish projects that have been sitting around.
The first is some yarn that I added to my stash last year. I bought a skein of Adriafil Knitcol, I thought the colors were pretty. This is what I made.
It reminds me of all of the spring flowers. The pattern is Seafoam Scarf by Ali Green, it is also available as a free Ravelry download. I used size 7 needles. This is a great take-a-long project.
This next scarf took me a year to make. Not because it was that difficult, I just got distracted by other things. Hmmn, I wonder how that happens.
It is called Tiger Eyes Lace Scarf by Toni M. Maddox. This is a direct pdf download and is available in the web archive. I used Nancy’s Knit Knacks Digit Heather in the color Sunset and size 6 needles.
I am getting better with my grafting. Not perfect, but better. 🙂
