As I’ve said before, I’ve been working hard on finishing up all the projects that I have previously started and put away for one reason or another. I think Spring time has really inspired me. Everything is so fresh and new. I want to start on something fresh and new but don’t want all of those sad projects saying “finish me I want to enjoy Spring too”.
So over the next few days I will be sharing the projects that have been sitting in project bags and the closet finally having their time to shine.
This childs blanket is a simple crochet ripple pattern that has been around for years. If you do a google search you should be able to find a free pattern. I’ve made it so often in the past that it just comes to me. I used some Lion Brand Homespun that I had in the stash and a size N/P hook.
This child size blanket is called Circles to Square Afghan by Shiri Mor and is available as a free pattern on Lion Brands web-site.
I only made the small and medium squares since I didn’t want a full size blanket. I used Red Heart Super Saver yarns. I skein of 3 different colors. A fun way to play with a pattern without committing to a large blanket.
It feels good to get these finished. Now to pack them off and send them to my nieces.
